Hi Suzanne! Just checking on progress of the big move! Looks like a busy summer for you and family, no? I still listen to downloads but work schedule seems determined to keep me from favorite live shows!

Hi Suzanne! It looks like you didn't have a show, today. I have to work Saturdays for the forseeable future... I download all your shows to itunes, anyway, but I miss the live shows!! Be safe, Karen

I apologize to all those who are emailing and texting and who are missing the show. There's so much going on in the world and I still don't have a phone set up. It's scheduled for next Thursday, July 2nd and then we'll be back on track. I hope that everyone is still using the weekend time to work on their preparedness. Take the time where you would be listening to my show and visit the website and search the internet for information that you can use. Read the news.

We won't have a phone until next week so this week's show is cancelled. We're all moved in on 2 acres. Our workshop now houses the Bear Mountain Tomahawk Company www.bmtomahawks.com and we're good to go. Now we just need the phone up. The garden that we planted before we even moved in is coming along nicely. We have potatoes, tomatoes (12 types), peppers (bell and hot), squash (4 types), melons (2 types), artichokes, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, lettuces, bok choi, carrots (2 types) and more. All are heirloom/open pollinated. The goat should be here next weekend. We're getting him from some friends who don't have the room for him and we'll get him a girlfriend and maybe a buddy so that they can play. They're very social animals and don't like to be alone. We also plan on some pigs and chickens. 2 acres is too small for cattle but I'm looking into the miniture cows as a substitute. Cattle used to be smaller than they are today and so I'm looking into basically heirloom cattle. Cows that haven't been cross-bred to create these giant cows we have today. They smaller ones run 500-750 pounds instead of the 1200+ pounders raised on ranches. They're easier to handle, require less space and eat less. I need to research it more. I hope that everyone is keeping their eyes on the news - we have North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, China and Russia and here at home we have to now worry about a VAT tax along with all the other socialist BS going on. STOCK UP, STOCK UP, STOCK UP AND PREPARE!!! I really can't stress it enough to everyone. It's not just hurricanes and wildfires, the economy is also an issue. This is all under your own control. I promise we're coming back. The move is almost finished. We'll have a 2 acre homestead and our housewarming gift is a goat from some friends for us to take care of. We put the garden in about 3 weeks ago and it's going great. Mostly direct sown but added a couple starters to get it really going. We'll have chickens, also. I hope that everyone has had some nice weather and is taking advantage of this time to prep as always. Suzanne Fear conscripts its own armies, takes its own prisoners.

Today's show is cancelled because NorthStar Preparedness is in the process of moving. We should be back on track in the next week or so. On a better note, I've feeling better, finally. I may not have had swine flu but whatever virus I had - it was a nasty one! Keep prepping, go back and listen to prior episodes and email with any questions. Guess what we're going to discuss today. Just guess. Bet you can't! Here's a hint.........PANDEMIC FLU! Yay! Or not. We are not in the middle of a pandemic, yet.

Just when we're back on regular power I'm down with bronchitis. I was going to try to do the show but the cough is just awful. I'm sorry that we've missed so many shows this month. I miss everyone but I hope that you've been out there preparing and not missing us. Pay attention to the news, assess your situation and do what you can. But do something!
Remember, fear conscripts its own armies, takes its own prisoners.

I'm sorry guys! I have to cancel this weeks show and I'm sorry I missed last weeks show. They got the splice done on the underwater cable to the island but the electric was questionable. Now they have the power back up but we've got some weather moving through and there's some prepping that needs to be done while I have stable power and it's not raining so I have to cancel today's show. But we will be back next weekend and I expect everyone to be working on their individual preps and preparedness around their homes. There have been some dangerous storms throughout the country and some people injured or killed. Assess you local area and make preparations. This is all under your own control. See you next weekend, April 18th! Suzanne Dobbs Fear conscripts its own armies, takes its own prisoners.
