    Demetria Ogletree's 18 year-old son fell ill in late 2008, his family not knowing that he had heart problems. Once discovered,18-year-old Dominique Ogletree needed a heart transplant for which they were awaiting a donor. However,in the interim, Dominique was lucky enough to be the first person in Georgia, the youngest and one of only 18 people across the country, to receive a Thoractic IVAD implant allowing him be discharged from the hospital while waiting for a donor. This is the story of a single mother's challenge and help from the caring medical team who saw her through her ordeal.
