March of Liberty Radio

March of Liberty and Hear My Thunder social community are dedicated to views from a Constitutional perspective. The thunder is that grassroots sound we hear surrounding key areas impacting our daily lives. There are countless people who are fighting for their causes and clinging to the remains of an unprecedented experiment. The experiment was first brought to life over 220 years ago by 55 enlightened men and the results of their thunder are truly inspirational. Their experiment, the Federalist Republic, must be revived and the radio shows presented here will be but a humble attempt to shine the light on our world from a U.S. Constitutional perspective while continuing the march of liberty. Dwight D. Eisenhower reminded us all, "Freedom has its life in the hearts, actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed - else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die." Join us in our broadcasts as we attempt to offer our efforts to earn and refresh liberty.

Show Notes

Our Sunday show (7pm EST) has guests and discussions with a focus on the original intent of our founding. It is an interactive discussion with the goal of education through conversation which leads us to more educated action. We support constitutional study and debate while not endorsing any particular party. All who care to share should bring friends and family together for a weekly discussion that strives to better enlighten us all. We will discuss current events and we do have spirited debate yet we focus on mutual respect while avoiding argumentative labeling and name calling. Refresh your mind and help refresh our minds as well. Make it a weekly scheduled event and we'll see you on the radio!

  • On Demand Episodes

    Date / Time:

Income Tax vs. The Fair Tax

Join us Monday, March 31st at 9pm EST for a lively debate on the two different schools of thought on the best method of taxation.  This should be a lively discussion so bring us your thoughts and share in the show.  We value and appreciate all our chatters and callers, you make our show!  As always we'll cover this topic as well as discussing the topics of the day impacting politics and lives every day.  See you on the radio!

  • Original Air Date:

    Intervention vs. Non-intervention

NOTE: NEW TIME; Monday @ 9pm EST! We'll explore the two different schools of thought regarding foreign policy. In addition to examining the main foundations of each we'll also look at how they differ from one another and consider which may be the best for the U.S. moving into the future rather than clinging to the past. As always we'll also have open discussion after the main topic based on anything our listeners want to talk about. See you there!

  • Date / Time:

    Intervention vs. Nonintervention

This coming Monday evening is our first prime time show.  We'll be airing at 9pm EST.  The show will feature a discussion on the difference between two major foreign policy approaches.  The current form of intervention with a preemptive nature will be compared to the Jeffersonian idea of nonintervention as supported by Presidential candidate Ron Paul and others.  We'll also attempt to put the myth to rest that nonintervention is somehow connected to, or the same as, isolationism.

Besides the main topic of discussion will be open talk on any subject our chatters and callers decide to focus on.  Remember, we are here to facilitate discussion rather than simply talk to the audience.  We appreciate every listener who invests their time with us.  If you missed any of our shows so far you can catch them in the archives either on the Internet or downloaded for listening on your favorite hand held device.  Set your clocks for 9pm EST this coming Monday and we'll see you on the radio!

  • Original Air Date:

    The Oath Of Office

We'll be discussing the oath of office from a historical perspective, and through to current times. We'll look at the importance of the oath, and how many politicians either ignore their oath or don't understand it. We'll also highlight some politicians that embrace it. This is one of the most important ways of measuring a politicians ability to serve their office.

  • Date / Time:

Note: New Show Time: Monday, March 24th, 9pm EST

Starting with our show on "Intervionism vs. Non-interventionism" we'll be trying a new time slot for our weekly show.  Moving from Sunday at 3pm EST - look for us starting March 24th on Monday at 9pm EST.  We hope this time works better for the many who have wanted to tune in but were unable to on Sunday afternoons.

See you this Sunday at 3pm for "The Oath of Office" and then MONDAY, March 24th at 9:00pm EST, for "Interventionism vs. Non-interventionism."

~We'll see you on the radio!~

  • Date / Time:

    The Oath of Office

Join us this Sunday, March 16th at 3pm EST, for an in-depth discussion about the oath of office.  We'll take a look at the history of oaths, where the idea came from to have different government departments swear or affirm an oath, and why it is important for us to understand the oaths our political representatives take.  As a measurement tool for earning your vote there is probably no better yard stick to begin your research with than a candidates past willingness to uphold their oath and/or their understanding of what their oath is.  As always, this topic will be improved with the wonderful participation of our listeners in the chat room as well as those calling in to listen to the show.

In addition to our dicussion on the oath we'll be joining with our listeners to discuss relative and important issues of today.  We've enjoyed having lively debates in our past shows and look forward to this week's as well.  Politics is an emotional subject yet our listeners debate rather than argue due to the mutual respect they share with each other.  Join this show's interactive nature.  We'll see you on the radio!

  • Original Air Date:

    Political Labels

We'll be discussing the understanding and use of political labels. We'll explore some labels origins, discuss the listeners understanding of different labels and try and determine if they are useful or too easily used to distract from critical thinking. As always we'll also have open discussion after the main topic based on anything our listeners want to talk about. See you there!
