March of Liberty Radio

March of Liberty and Hear My Thunder social community are dedicated to views from a Constitutional perspective. The thunder is that grassroots sound we hear surrounding key areas impacting our daily lives. There are countless people who are fighting for their causes and clinging to the remains of an unprecedented experiment. The experiment was first brought to life over 220 years ago by 55 enlightened men and the results of their thunder are truly inspirational. Their experiment, the Federalist Republic, must be revived and the radio shows presented here will be but a humble attempt to shine the light on our world from a U.S. Constitutional perspective while continuing the march of liberty. Dwight D. Eisenhower reminded us all, "Freedom has its life in the hearts, actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed - else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die." Join us in our broadcasts as we attempt to offer our efforts to earn and refresh liberty.

Show Notes

Our Sunday show (7pm EST) has guests and discussions with a focus on the original intent of our founding. It is an interactive discussion with the goal of education through conversation which leads us to more educated action. We support constitutional study and debate while not endorsing any particular party. All who care to share should bring friends and family together for a weekly discussion that strives to better enlighten us all. We will discuss current events and we do have spirited debate yet we focus on mutual respect while avoiding argumentative labeling and name calling. Refresh your mind and help refresh our minds as well. Make it a weekly scheduled event and we'll see you on the radio!

    The Legislative Branch

This coming Sunday, March 2nd, at 3pm EST our dicussion will focus on "The Legislative Branch."  We'll be looking in-depth at Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution as the founders gave rebirth to the idea of a republic form of government.  The organization envisioned for Congress was a two house system, one selected directly by the people and one selected by the states.  Within this branch of government were granted certain powers and responsibilities.  A key issue will be what the powers were as well as what the organizational structure of today has done to either strengthen or weaken the founders vision for this branch of our federal government.

As with our first two shows we will rely heavily on the insights provided by our chatters and callers making this show merely facilitated by the co-hosts.  Time will be available to also discuss important issues facing us today.  Please come ready to lend your voice to the discussion.  Also, spread the word about the show to help grow the listening audience.  If you haven't had the chance to listen to our first two shows we hope you will not only listen but provide feedback and ratings as we continue to focus on improving the quality in our efforts to help further the March of Liberty!  We look forward to seeing you on the radio!

The Election Process Then and Now

We'll be discussing how the election process was set up by the Constitution and why the election scheme was designed the way it was. We'll then contrast that with how amendments, history, and tradition has sense changed the process and to what end. As always we'll also have open discussion after the main topic based on anything our listeners want to talk about. See you there!

  • Date / Time:

The Election Process Then and Now

This Sunday at 3pm  EST please join us for a very special discussion on the U.S. election process then and now.  We'll examine whether we should be changing the way we elect our legislative and executive branch, we'll examine the current primary process, and we'll attempt to figure out what the founders attempted to set up within Article 1 and Article 2 in the U.S. Constitution.  We'll also be having open discussions on current events and any subjects our listeners bring up through the chat room and call-ins.

Last week's first show was very successful thanks to the many listeners who also jumped in the chat room and interacted with us.  We are hosting the show but it is much more of a facilitated broadcast where we can learn and improve on our insight into the politics of the world and the U.S.  Do plan to attend and participate.  We also need our listeners to rate each show.  As our audience grows and our ratings improve we'll be able to apply to BTR for a better time slot as well as becoming a featured show.  You can helps us spread the March of Liberty and help be a part of the new media people can rely on for accurate insights into our world.  If you love history and you love liberty we'll see you on the radio!!

    First Show to be Announced

The March of Liberty and Hear the Thunder is in the initial planning stages for our first radio broadcast here at Blog Talk Radio.  Our shows will be focused on reporting the news and views of people from a Constitutional perspective with a goal of lending your thunder and your voice to the awakening of liberty and freedom we've been experiencing this year.

The March of Liberty is the on-going effort to educate and involve people on the key issues that this country was founded upon while exploring whether our current directions in the U.S. are moving along a path of liberty.  There is a growing feeling we are off course and heading in the wrong direction.  However, many are unsure what the right direction may be and there certainly is plenty of room for discussion regarding what path we should be marching along.  History and discussion are wonderful tools for helping guide us.

Hear the Thunder is the thunder of those investing their time to listen to our shows.  Your thunder is very important.  You may agree with what we present and want to voice your agreement or the opposite.  You may have a great deal of knowledge on a topic and want to help educate people listening.  You might have a specific message for our politicians.  You may just feel the need to rant or climb upon your soap box and share your frustration.  All this and more equates to your thunder and it should be heard.

Between now and our first broadcast visit my column at Nolan Chart LLC, 'Hear the Thunder' and join us at our web community, 'Hear My Thunder.org' which are linked on this page.  We look forward to speaking with you all soon.  In the meantime don't let the March of Liberty stop and always make sure your thunder is heard!

    Gary
