Kathy is also the author of Where the Blind Horse Sing: Where the Blind Horse Sings chronicles Kathy’s experiences with remarkable personalities -- both animal and human -- in creating one of the country’s most successful sanctuaries for abused and neglected farm animals. You will laugh, you cry, you will fall in love... Catskill Sanctuary is a safe home for farm animals, an advocate for those who can’t stand up for themselves, and a resource for education Catskill Animal Sanctuary is located in Saugerties, NY, two hours north of New York City, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Have a plan in mind (i.e. lemonade is what you WANT to make), HOWEVER, pick up ALL OF THE FRUIT you come across on your journey to creating the lemonade...You'll end up w/a Fruit Punch that can be better than what you originally thought! Don't limit yourself to flavor, color, consistency...let the other fruit (i.e life experiences, set-back, gains) help the Fruit Punch mix! Always TRUST what it is you WANT w/the HOPE that it will appear....(I love that...). Don't let anyone ever tell you that what you want (i.e. your lemonade) is stupid, bad, not achievable or any of the other negative talk we hear....if you want something, there is a reason for it. No life experience is ever a waste. All that we experience, and all that cross our paths come into our lives for a reason...look at it and see WHY...(i.e. why are we finding lots of grapes & apples, but no lemons?). And finally, when I asked Katie what it was that inspired her to cross an ocean, learn a new language and become a musician even though she isn't formally trained & can't read music? She stated simply "My WANT is greater than my FEAR". Think about that and apply that simple question to your dreams and goals.
