Maimah is a writer and speaker. After being diagnosed with breast cancer on February 28, 2006, she realized the importance of creating her dreams and using her life to help others. She has created a breast cancer foundation (www.tigerlilyfoundation.org) to help young women affected by the disease, and as a speaker, uses her voice to help others. She has been featured in Essence and Ladies Home Journal magazines, on major news networks including Fox 5, and ABC. She has been featured on Good Morning America, with Robin Roberts and in hundreds of other venues as a speaker, breast cancer survivor and motivator.
