    Luna in your Life

    Astrologer Ginger McCord, who is also the editor of the widely-acclaimed Texas metaphysical magazine, "Indigo Sun," will be talking with us today about the moon in the individual's chart. Almost everyone knows where the sun is in their chart. If we know we are a Sagittarius or a Pisces, a Libra or a Taurus, we know our sun sign. This is who we are. Ginger says, "Fewer people know their Moon signs, and this is a shame because a person's Moon sign can be extremely important, and having a little bit of knowledge about your Moon sign can be extremely helpful in self understanding. I am going to grossly over-simplify, but you can think of your Sun sign as who you are and your Moon sign as what you need. (There are many, many components which can modify these simplifications, so we will consider these working generalizations only, but they are workable.) For instance, I am a Libra with a Cancer Moon. As a Libra, I am fun loving and very social. As a person with a Cancer Moon, I need quite time and privacy. Often times there is an inner conflict with my need to be out and interacting with others and my intense need for alone moments. I have had to learn to remember to take time off for my self."
