  MPI and Haunted History

  A big thanks to Chris from MPI, very chatty and witty.  We look forward to doing some investigations with them very soon!  Also thank you to Tonya and Andy, We wish them well at their film festival...hope you win something even though nobody is a winner or a loser;)
  
  **Side note, It dawned on me as I looked up Butler Cemetery (Butler Cemetery was discussed in the first hour), Kristy and I had our photo's taken there for pictures in the possible Women of the Paranormal Calender.  Blonde moment.

  1st hour, Metro Paranormal Investigations
  Bio:
  Metro Paranormal Investigations (MPI) is comprised of a unique array of individuals who all come from different walks of life. Together these individuals form the diverse, talented, and caring team that has become one of Michigan's most professional, paranormal research groups. MPI was envisioned by Chris Forsythe (founder) in 2005. Chris brought Wayne Miracle (co-founder) and Kevin Johnson (legal advisor) together in 2006 and MPI was incorporated. Since its incorporation MPI has grown significantly and is now one of Michigan’s premier paranormal research groups with over 25 investigations completed and at least ten potential investigations already scheduled for the beginning of 2008. The investigations MPI has completed have been as diverse as its members. MPI has experience investigating residential, places of business, and historical landmarks. MPI has been referred a case from the Lansing Police department and has the capability and manpower to investigate large areas and residences.
  
  MPI’s services are free of charge, and our client’s information is kept confidential at all times. By using all forms of investigation tools, and thorough analysis and documentation, we will bring any evidence that we have gathered to our clients in a professional manner. We will make sure our clients have options other than being afraid. Our mission is simple, to work with a client and address their needs, but also gain a further understanding in answering our own questions. We do this as a team, and together we will contribute to this field as investigators. Our motto states clearly: “We are here to help and understand”.
  
  The members of MPI consist of: Chris Forsythe (President, Founder), Wayne Miracle (Vice President, Co-Founder), Kevin Johnson (Legal Advisor), Chris Cloud (Tech Manager), Deana Miracle (Treasurer), Erin Cloud (Secretary), Wendy Forsythe (Lead Field Investigator) Kyle Brown (Web Tech,) Kristie Johnson (Lead Field Investigator), Russ Gifford (Field Investigator), Jo Gifford (Field Investigator), Doug Milmine (Field Investigator), Karen Milmine (Field Investigator), Rita Sacco (Lead Spiritual Advisor), Donn Seres (Historical Lore, and Religion), and Jeff Harris (Spiritual Advisor).
  
  Second Hour: Historic Haunts
  Bio:
  Tonya and Andy Keyser live near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. They have been actively working in the field of ghost research for more than 8 years. After moving to Gettysburg, and noting the sheer number of ghost tour companies in the town (over 15 in 2007), they became very interested in “ghost culture,” or why people are interested in ghost stories, why people want to investigate reports of hauntings, and how the media influences beliefs in the paranormal. They decided to produce a documentary about the culture of ghost research in America. Exspiro Productions was founded, and the first of their films, The Other Side: Giving up the Ghost, was born. In the past year, Tonya completed the first draft of her book and founded The Journal of Paranormal Research. Andy is currently working on his first book. Together, they produced a comedy film about ghost hunters, along with the first episode in a DVD series. Currently, they are producing the second DVD in the series, which focuses upon the reported hauntings of the Cashtown Inn. They are in pre-production for the sequel to American Ghost Watchers, their comedy. The Other Side and American Ghost Watchers will be screened at the upcoming Dead of Winter Film Festival March 1. American Ghost Watchers can also be seen at TAPSCON this summer.

  This unique husband and wife team are amazing as they combine the mediumistic abilities of Michael with the rare abilities of psychic artistry of his wife Marti.  In the same caliber as other renowned psychics, Michael is able to make a connection with relatives and friends that have passed over to the other side.  Equally astounding is the artistic talents of Marti, who has the uncanny ability to draw friends and loved ones that have passed away without ever having seen them, personally or through pictures, or even a description! When you put two such dynamic personalities together with such distinctive talents, it is no wonder that they are gathering a larger following everyday
  
  Michael has studied metaphysics for over 30 years.  In his native country of England, he was reacquainted with the knowledge of his true spiritual nature through the use of various yoga meditation techniques.  He met Marti in 1994 when he he came to Los Angeles for a three month visit to repair earthquake damage to the American headquarters of his church.  They were married 6 months later.  Although Marti was familiar with metaphysics, it had been quite a few years since she was active in any modality.  Michael was determined to change that!

  That was the start of Spiritart.  Now Marti and Michael work together blending together their talents.  Michael, who is more clairaudient than Marti, gives messages he receives from those who have passed while she draws a portrait and small significant "doodles" from the other side.  They never know who will come through.  They both rely on those on the other side to help bring through the connections that will be most beneficial to the client at the time.

  I write mainly on UFOs, from personal experiences to actual cases, especially Oregon and California cases. My influences are varied: Jacques Vallee, Patrick Harpur, George P Hansen, Charles Fort, and Colin Bennett are just some of the many authors and thinkers on the subject that I admire. I approach Forteana and UFOlogy from a somewhat folkloric perspective. Bigfoot stories, particularly with a UFO or "high strangeness" quality, are a strong interest of mine. I am interested in this aspect of research, and particularly women writers and researchers who follow the Bigfoot story. I'm a flying saucer junkie. From the early Contactees to current pop culture UFO legend; it's all endlessly fascinating!
