Former Dallas Morning News writer Manny Mendoza was a guest, talking about the documentary, “Stop the Presses: The American Newspaper in Peril,” which airs on Monday, October 26 at 9p.m. on KERA-TV 13. According to Manny, “14,000 journalists have lost their jobs since 2001.” Manny took a buyout from the News a few years back. We discussed the changes that we have seen in newspapers, including the selling of ads on the front pages, as well as the competition from the internet, and the closing of so many newspapers.

-Thanks to those who joined me in the chatroom. There were some interesting comments from Ed Gray and Mom Magnets. I have to get the name of his barber who he says wears a jacket and tie! Until Next Time,
