http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ47frApBiU&feature=player_embedded As children, many of us can probably recall that,…when it was time to go to bed and Mom had turned off the lights, it seems our rooms suddenly became the scariest places at night. As a “bogeyman” waited in the closet and a monster lurked under the bed, most times we found ourselves sleeping with the covers up over our heads. As adults, however, we tend to outgrow and put away such frightening thoughts, that is, unless you are one of an estimated 3.4 million people who are preyed upon by stalkers, each year in the United States.
A stalker’s course of conduct can create fear and hysteria that can haunt a victim for a lifetime. Their patterns of unwelcomed attention and harassment often include laying in wait for their victims, making excessive and menacing communications by phone, mail and/or email; often threatening physical harm to the victim, the victim’s family, and friends, or physical damage to the victim’s property.
Join Jay King, Robert Redwine and me, (Joan-Adrienne), as we explore “stalking” and the measures you can take if you are being preyed upon. If you have ever been stalked or know of someone who has, please call us at 347-205-9366 or join our chat room. In our effort to bring more diversity to “The Way I See It,” the show’s format will now include “ Music Week,” which will be presented on the first Sunday of every month. On those shows, Jay will highlight the careers of noted recording artists who were instrumental in paving the way for many of today’s newer artists. He will also introduce you to new talent on the verge of becoming household names in today’s music.
This Sunday, on “The Way I See It,” we are honored to interview and explore the music of Smooth Jazz guitarist, Dee Brown; Jay King’s fellow members, Valerie Watson and Samuelle Prater of the legendary group, Club Nouveau; and Larry Dunn, one of the original members and gifted songwriters of the renowned super group, Earth, Wind & Fire. Joining Larry will be his wife, Luisa Dunn, who is a talented and versatile vocalist in her own right.
As Jay, Robert Redwine and I talk with our guests, you will hear some music which, undoubtedly, will conjure up memories of the past. You will also have the opportunity to hear new music, from these artists, that will be heard for the first time, exclusively, on “The Way I See It.”
If you would like to say hello or tell our guests what their music has meant to you, please feel free to call us at 347-205-9366, or join our chat room, where you can post your thoughts along with “The Way I See It” family. If you elect to use our chat room, please be sure to register at BlogTalkRadio.com with a user name and password.

When voters rallied to elect Senator Barack Obama as its first African American president, many of those voters were white Americans, who previously vowed they would never put a black man in the White House. But after years with this country collapsing in financial ruin and imploding from within, people became desperate for change. For the first time in their lives, they were willing to look beyond the color of one’s skin, if it meant they might, once again, have hope in achieving whatever they believed to be the American Dream. It was an enormous step for a nation with a despicable and ugly past regarding slavery, lynching and segregation.
Yet now, nearly a year later, all one needs to do is listen to the hate-filled tirades of Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, among a list of many others, or read the idiotic ramblings of Townhall.com columnist Burt Prelutsky, who brazenly thinks it's okay to refer to First Lady Michelle Obama as a “black bitch.” And, if you really want to get an honest assessment of what some of the regular Joe Blows of America think about race, the Internet will open your eyes to an endless arsenal of insults being hurled from one community poster to another. It is America showing its colors with no sense of indecency or shame.
Join Jay King, Robert Redwine and me, (Joan-Adrienne), as we explore the reasons as to why America remains irrevocably divided when it comes to the never-ending issues on race and inequality. If you would like to share your point-of-view, please call us at 347-205-9366 or join our chat room.
