Enjoy your show very much. The only one that I didn't care for was the Preston WHitmore. It seems like he didn't shed much light on the business. Everything went back to him, without really explaining himself. But overall, I love the show.

    Writer/director/producer and now author, Don Welch will discuss the business of writing, directing and producing for the stage, and adapting projects from stage to screen and book. The producer of 14 stage plays, Welch's popular "The Bachelorette Party" was recently released as a novel.

    Writer/director/producer and now author, Don Welch will appear on "Inside Urban Hollywood" with host Tanya Kersey on Monday, June 3, 2008, at 3pm PST/6pm EST, to discuss the business of writing, directing and producing for the stage, adapting projects from stage to screen and book, and offer advice to actors on getting cast.  The producer of 14 stages plays, Welch published his first novel this week. One World Books released "The Bachelorette Party," adapted from Welch's national theatrical sensation, "The Bachelorette Party" is a heartwarming, tender and funny story by a man who has managed to tap into the female psyche with compassion and sensitivitely scarcely seen by writers of any gender.

    This summer, Welch is a very busy man. Along with the publication of "The Bachelorette Party," he recently wrapped a run of his newest stage production, "My Brother's Keeper," in Los Angeles. "The Bachelorette Party" and "The Divorce" coninue their success with dates beginning this July in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Oakland, CA. The musical on the life and music of Mahalia Jackson, called "Hallelujah Mahalia" has various dates in Philadelphia, LA, Oakland and Richmond. A collaboration with hardcore rapper/actor Sticky Fingaz for a hip hop musical called "Caught on Tape," which will be the first all hip hop stage production where all of the dialogue is sung or rapped. It is written and directed by Sticky Fingaz, and Welch is on board as a creative consultant. Welch is also in initial discussions for a musical stage/play with legendary actress/singer Della Reese to be staged during the 2009 spring/summer season. Welch also has two works, "The Living Quarters" and "Sisters" to debut Fall 2008.
