Interview with actress, writer, director Lynne Walker

What’s up with all of this violence, child abuse, crime sprees, and communities being destroyed by our unwillingness to take responsibility for our actions? The powers to be have tried a myriad of programs to help offset these issues concerning our community and nothing seems to be work. The crime rates in our neighborhoods continue to increase, and no one has taken an “outside of the box” approach to help people address these issues in ways that are different from what we’ve done to date. Over the last several years Lynne Walker, an aspiring actress, writer and director, has looked at the social ills plaguing our community and has written a stage play that will address those issues and provide an audience with some visuals that may help people connect and develop solutions to the aforementioned problems. Lynne uses the performing arts as a way to challenge people to think about DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT in their respective communities and not continue to lay back and wait for others to fix things we can fix ourselves. On this date The Hot Flashes, not a menopause thang Show will break from the norm and feature Ms. Lynne Walker as a guest. She will talk about her stage play and the implications of the social significance the play has on the community. It is our hope that the scenes depicted in her play will create awareness in our communities and force people to take a stand on making a change.

    Why do we break up?

People break up for a variety of reasons. The reasons can be divided into and explained by four different types of behavior that cause troubled relationships. The first two types are destructive and negative behaviors while the last two are positive and constructive. Join Rob B and China and help discuss the issue of "Why we break up"?

Are black women living happy healthy lives without men?

Statistics say 70% of all black women are single. How true is the statistic and are you surprised? Are black women happy being single? Is it healthy? Black women say that black men are afraid of commitment, can’t take care of them, and are not mature enough to be the head of the household. Do black women want to be by themselves or are men too much trouble. Join Rob B and China on the subject of “Are black women living happy healthy lives without men”

“Are you using your text to connect with the EX?”

If you’re in a serious relationship should you be communicating with your ex? What’s the point? Are you curious about what’s been going on with them, or are you trying to “hit it” again? Are you genuinely interested in a friendship or do you want them back? What does the ex have in mind? Do they want you back or is it a case of, “if I can't have you no one else can” This can create a very serious issue in your current relationship. Join Rob B and China as they discuss, “Are you using your text to connect with your EX”

  • Original Air Date:

What is your definition of a good man?

It is an age old question, what is the definition of a good man? Why are women always asking this question? Is it because they can’t find the answer? Or do they really know the answer but refuse to accept a good man. Are the parameters too vague, or should women be defining what it takes to be a good man? Join us as we talk about this pertinent, but puzzling question.

  • Original Air Date:

Do you let friends and family interfere with your relationship?

Your relationship is going well and you foresee things continuing to blossom. As things progress friends and family members start to get involved and suddenly your relationship starts going south. What happened? When did your relationship take a turn for the worst? Was it because you let others get between the two of you? Why did you let others in? When did you lose control over your relationship? Join Rob B and China for a lively discussion on this controversial topic.
