I think we should continue to allow doctors who have treated thousands of patients successfully continue to treat those who suffer, with long-term regimens if needed, according to patient response, and not according to a pre-set amount of time.

Dr. Zemmel claimed that many patients who say they have "chronic Lyme" never had Lyme in any form to begin with. That seems to be a specious argument to me, since with any disease, there may be a few who report that they have it but don't. In my own case, I tested positive by mainstream testing labs and was probably counted by the CDC, as was my son. So my son and I had Lyme, were treated conventionally, and did not recover until treated with long term oral (not IV) antibiotics. I
