How To Be Positive In A Negative World

My co-host Billie and I are truly excited about having David on our show to inspire our listeners and give them the hope and inspiration they need to be "positive in our negative world." The show will be broadcast live on BlogTalkRadio on the HaroldSays Channel Thursday November 12th at 11 p.m. EST. David Boufford was born in New Haven, CT, and raised in Manchester, NH with six sisters (the only boy). His mom and step-dad did a great job with them (it wasn't easy) and he is forever grateful for their love. The lessons David learned are with him everyday.

When he was about 10, he became a huge ice hockey fan (Bobby Orr and the Big Bad Boston Bruins) and he played pick up games on the pond behind our house until they fell through the ice every spring, then they played street hockey and baseball. It was a lot of fun.

After the early passing of a dear friend, he decided life is too short and followed his dreams at the age of 21 and moved to Sunny Southern California. It was quite a journey and an adventure. It was there that he first discovered the world of sales, marketing and entrepreneurship.

After searching around and trying to start his own business (without any clue to what he was doing) he went to work for a home improvement company and that led him to working for an advertising company in sales.

During this time he and the owner started two related businesses, both failed (which was a blessing). Within 5 years he ended up with his own direct mail business which he ran successfully for 12 years from his home (way before it was "ok" to work from home).

While he always read a ton of books, he started listening to audio cassettes from the Nightingale Conant Corporation which accelerated and expanded his thinking. He still listens to their products now on CD through www.nightingale.com. David states that, "he guesses he is a perpetual student."

He attended his first big name live seminar with Stuart Wilde. Stuart kicked off an incredible journey for David. Excited by what he learned he went on an amazing life changing seminar tour with people like Anthony Robbins, Jay Abraham, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and Bob Procter to mention just a few of them.

Having started in business so young, he became bored and started to look for new and more exciting opportunities. He decided he wanted to be a business consultant. After meeting a very successful business growth expert named Scott Hallman they teamed up and launched a Business growth Consulting practice where he got to help businesses from around the world. It was a wild ride and he learned a lot.

Then he broke out on his own and had the biggest success so far of his young life. He was introduced to Mac Anderson the Founder of Successories™ and Simple Truths.™ Mac was launching his new gift book publishing company and when he showed David his newest title - he saw it in a new way and worked with Mac to turn The Dash Gift Book into The Dash Movie.

David states, "He is so proud of this project not because it was a financial success which it was but because even as I write this almost three years since we launched it, someone is being inspired by it's powerful message for the first time!" (The Dash Movie has been viewed over 40 million times!) It's changing lives daily.
