WWDC 2006 Live Broadcast This Morning

I just broadcast the information coming out of WWDC, Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference.  It was an impromptu performance; I woke up this morning and decided to broadcast my impression of the WWDC keynote as it was taking place in San Francisco.  I think it went fairly well, although I missed a call from BlogTalkRadio CEO Alan Levy.  (I'm still getting the hang of things, and I forgot to make my Switchboard panel easily accessible to me while I was broadcasting.  The Switchboard is needed in order to take calls from listeners.)

    Thanks to anyone who listened!

    I completely forgot!

All apologies for not broadcasting today; I completely forgot!  It was one of those "housecleaning" days, the rare occasion in which I found myself out of bed early and inspired to tackle that project I've been promising to do for weeks.  (Months?)  Anyway, I'm going to make up for my absence later this week by broadcasting as early as Monday (tomorrow).

Podcaster Herald's regularly-schedule segments will resume next Sunday.  The show is currently scheduled to, ahem, actually take place at 8am Pacific.  Though I may actually change the time, so please keep watching this blog or PodcasterHerald.com for more information, including changes to my BlogTalk's broadcast schedule.

    Muchos Impromptus

I've been hosting a bunch of BlogTalks over the past week, including the one I had earlier today regarding neighbors.  Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to listen to any of my talks, and please feel free to call in at any time during these sessions.  If you're too shy, that's fine -- I'd still love for you to listen.  But if you've got the nerve, call me up and let's do the dance!

Oh, and I've changed the name of my BlogTalk channel from Dark Matter to Podcaster Herald.  I feel that BlogTalkRadio is perfectly suited for Podcaster Herald's intentions.  DarkMatterRadio.com may or may not be associated with BlogTalkRadio programming in the future; right now I'm going to focus on producing highly-polished/edited digital media content for the Dark Matter project, rather than live discussions.  Podcaster Herald, on the other hand, likes to do the BlogTalk.

  • Date / Time:

    Broadcasting using a mobile phone

So I've had a few successes the past day or so; I'm still having trouble hosting my program using Skype (SkypeOut), but at least I'm able to host Dark Matter using my mobile phone.  I'd prefer to host my show using my Skype connection, as I believe it makes for a much better-sounding broadcast, but I've discovered that hosting my "radio show" using a mobile phone can provide a unique experience.  You see, it affords me the ability to take my show on the road.  This morning, for example, I broadcast a monologue while walking into Westwood Village, my town here in Los Angeles.  This allowed me to broadcast while getting some exercise, and while heading to the cafe for my morning cup of Joe.

Make sure to bookmark this blog and/or my website, DarkMatterRadio.com. I'll have a feed available soon so that you may subscribe, if that's how you like to do things.  In the meantime, you'll just have to keep an eye on these sites...
