  Gameinatrix Goes on a Party Binge

  Hello Lovelies!
  
  This Gameinatrix.  I decided to check out the blog capabilities here, so far so good.  We are new here to blogtalk and so far everyone has given us a very warm welcome.  Definitely a move we should have made sooner.
  
  This weekend, was what I call a party weekend.  That means everyone I know on planet earth wants me to come to a party.  The first one was a Danger Dolls abode.  I always love visiting her, for one she's a gamer so I don't have to feel wierd about pulling out my DS and getting in a quick game of something, and two, the girl throws one hell of a party.  Her XBL profile should have legendary and 1500+ acheivement for throwing one hell of a party next to it.  She's the perfect hostess.  So in short that was really the only party I wanted to go to. But alas you have to be with those OTHER people. Those non-gamer types.
  
  One of my oldest and dearest invited me to a baby shower.  While I love children...I loathe baby showers.  I've never been a pink kind of girl.  Ok I like some pink things but when I'm in a room full of nothing but pink and all the frilly colors of the rainbow I feel ill.  Ever eat a yellow pastel cupcake? I have...<gags>.  Anyway I'm bored out of my mind at this shower so I pull out my DS and of course the questions and comments start.  What is that? Is that a Gameboy? (That one I want to slap people for) and you play games? Oh I don't do that, my boyfriend/husband/brother plays but not me.  I don't like games, too violent.  Now normally I go into Game-evangelist mode and try to convert the masses by putting in Nintendogs and let them see that games are not ALL blood guts and gore.  But I'd left the wee puppies at home AND I was in a bad mood. (driving all over Houston does not make one a happy girl-Houston is HUGE).  So I just sat and finished my game of Magnetica, with a crowd of children around.  It's very hard to just bite my tongue, but I did it.  God only knows how but I made it through.  Next time they may not be so lucky.  We all know  how I love to cut. Just not in front of the kiddies.
