Mission: The Real Man Campaign is an outreach to all men who are abusive, violent or potentially violent. We are seeking non violent, positive men for this campaign, who are ready, willing and able to assist in this urgent project. This campaign will not only help countless men become free from this relentless crime, but will help to put an end to the domestic violence crisis that is ongoing in every part of the world, restore families and save many lives. The 24 Hour Abuser Hot line will be a national hot line which will work in conjunction with the Real Man Campaign and will be established to operate just like the victims national hot line, with male advocates as the counselors to answer the calls from the abusers. This will allow volunteer access to help in time of need, versus court ordered, which is too late for many cases. There is help 24/7 for the victims, however, we need a hot line for abusers even more. This Campaign is appealing to all Clergy, Celebrities including Actors, Singers, Athletes, etc., Politicians, Medical Personnel, Military, Law Officers and all others that are considered to be men of positive influence to form a task force. The Abuser Hot line will be publicized via television, radio, internet, billboards, print media, etc and will be accessible via telephone, text messaging, email, chat or any other means of communication. This will give the abuser the opportunity to volunteer to get help before an episode gets out of hand. Benefits of this campaign: Interaction Lives saved Family restoration Volunteer versus ordered Men that are of positive influence are being sought out to stand up and be a helping hand to these abusers who are in need of a non violent mentor...one that can lead them in a new and much better way of life, than the one they are living right now. We have leaders in so many areas, that are paving the way for others to follow...why not for the cause of domestic violence, through a campaign that is specifically designed and targeted to reach these abusers, before another episode, which may very well be the last one for the victim? WE NEED MORE MEN TO TAKE A STAND AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. ABUSERS NEED YOU! VICTIMS NEED YOU! WE NEED YOU! BE SILENT NO MORE! IN ORDER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE TRAGIC WORLD OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, JOIN THE REAL MAN CAMPAIGN! Call-in Number: (646) 929-1956

On the next Double Down Film Show we’ll rap to Assistant Director, Greg Staley, who has helped to shepherd a dozen plus independent films through production over the years. One of the unsung heroes on any set is the A.D. Hiring a good and experienced Assistant Director can be the difference between making the day and busting the budget or the difference between a well-functioning crew and a chaotic set. Few positions on set can have the impact to make or break a production the way the A.D. does, so understanding their role is vital to your project’s success. What little production secrets do A.D.’s know that you don’t? What type of temperament does an A.D. need? Who’s on the typical A.D.’s team? What type of logic goes into scheduling a big day? When should you bring an A.D. onboard and what can do they do for you? …The answers to these pressing questions and more will all be revealed on the next Double Down Film Show. Straight answers to real filmmaking problems from some of the best artists and craftspeople in the industry delivered straight to your ear every Wednesday night. Listen and learn.

Tonight on Double Down Film Show we talk to the founders of ThisThing Films, Marin Gazzaniga and Anslem Richardson, to hear about how they grabbed some filmmaker friends and a camera and made a web series that caught IFC’s attention. Their series ‘Like So Many Things…’ is not your typical web series – it looks good, sounds good, is well written, directed and acted and doesn’t have any high concept gags. In fact, IFC decided to put it on TV. They’ll be joined by ThisThing member Ben Insler. The series debuts on IFC May 26th.
