Two years of prison changed my life, gave me life and awakened the healer within. It was when my freedom was taken away at age 40 that I started discovering the power in “being still.” And what a blessing it was. In the stillness I found my strength, my life, my everything. After watching 64 men in my barracks for a month I could see they were all sick. One day I looked at them and said to myself “They are all sick, all 64 of them”, and I heard a small voice say, “There is 65 in here! “WOW, that's right!”, I thought, “I'm in here too! What’s wrong with me?” It did not take to see I was full of false beliefs. As I learned who I was not, who I AM came forth. I had no ideal what I was feeling, what was radiating from me. A 72 year old friend told me I was a healer. I wanted to know why because this was not something I had asked for. He told me he was very happy for me. That was over 8 years ago and since then I have learned a lot and I am here to be the teacher and student. I may not have said a lot but there is a lot in what I said. Some may say I am a Forgiveness Freak and I thank them for the Wonderful comment. I think unforgiveness holds one in the past, and living in the past is dying in the present. Before I went to prison, I had notice that the whole world except me needed to change. If I did not go to prison I would still be working on the rest of the world. Prison cut my world way down, there was only 65 of us in a open barracks. It was only about 30 days and I knew that all these men were not what they said they were, I learned who they were by their actions and their re-actions, I learned I was no different then they were. That lead me to change myself, or start changing myself. We do NOT change by repeating words of someone that has changed, sure when I left prison and still today I share some experiences that I've read about but I share more of my own personal experiences. Anybody can ACT, if they have time to ACT.
