It is that simple, if you are a member of the Internet, then you are responsible for your children, and your family's safety online and offline, which begins in understanding what and who you are up against. Consumers can no longer blindly assume they are protected because a commercial tells them they are safe - sorry, that is misleading and simply is not the case.

Families should be aware that although technology and security software plays a vital role in the safety of your family's online activities, it should be remembered it is only one part of the equation.

I wish we could claim some Nobel breakthrough, and be the first to announce it to the world on CHWradio, but the fact is - the other key element in addition to enterprise grade technologies,  is simply good old fashion parenting, and teaching children the lost art of civility.Yes, the technology is new, and a bit out  of control, which makes it more difficult, but not only can you do it, you have to do it - you are the parent.
