He is the Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Molecular Medicine and Metabolism. Dr. Friedman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Chemistry and Biological Sciences and his M.D.-Ph.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, with his Ph.D. from City University of New York in Pharmacology. He completed his internal medicine residency from University of Michigan and his fellowship in Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Child, Health and Human Development. He has a private practice in Los Angeles specializing in hard-to-diagnose and treat cases of adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid disorders. He is the father of three children. i have recently lowered my cortef from 22.5 to 12.5 and have no side effects. i have had both adrenals removed and was wondering how low i can go if i am feeling fine. my acth is 124. i just think it's odd that i can lower and have no side effects. any explanation?

I am currently recovering from Cushings. I had a tumor on my right adrenal. The tumor and my adrenal are were removed August 28, 2008. I'm still extremely tired and my body hurts horribly. i'm still incredibly sick and can't stand it! I've been on 5mg hydrocortisone daily for aprox. 2 weeks. Would it be worth my while to take a trip to your office (I live in Michigan) or am I just being inpatient?
