We are crime victims originally, and discovered that we complained against the wrong criminal. We redressed grievances and our world turned upside down. We learned about deliberate indifference, about unlawful policy, about abuse of power. We started www.preventmurder.org! We have filed a pro se federal suit I'm glad to have found this site!

There was a lot of case fixing in my case. Luna v Dobson NYS court of appeals! 0% accountability! Took me almost ten yrs to get a full and fair day in court to be heard on the merits of my case! Dec 13, 2001

Congratulations on this show. Zena Crenshaw and Betsy Combier give a lively, informative discussion about what it takes for a sensible and effective approach to improve judicial accountability. Of note is their consensus that a group must narrow its goals, but at the same time be sensitive to the individual's. expectations.

The issue of judicial accountability is very important right now, due to the rampant disregard for citizen rights and the Rule of Law in our nation's courtrooms. As a non-attorney advocate for justice, I believe that the more information that we we get out to the general public on what these rights are, and how we can make the process work by having judges held accountable for their actions, the better. Some of the world's most prominent government whistleblowers and human rights activists gathered during the week of May 11-18, 2008 in Washington, D. C. to lobby Congress and alert the public to the need to support whistleblower protection. Part of the momentous occasion was a historical, Citizens' Forum On Judicial Accountability (CFOJA) which took place on Capitol Hill, Thursday - May 15, 2008. “Change of Venue” anchors an intense, multi-media, public awareness campaign promoting the importance and practical benefit of the CFOJA report to be completed and presented to the new Congress.

Join your host, Zena Crenshaw, in celebrating the first year anniversary of our Citizens'Forum On Judicial Accountability and the recent release of its report with recommendations. Hear and talk about the report -- what it says; what it means; and why it's tremendously important for preserving due process, equal protection, and the Rule of Law in America.

We apologize, but our December 1, 2008 interview of Judge Pirraglia was unexpectantly pre-empted, about 20 minutes into the broadcast. Also, our December 15, 2008 interview of activist Elena Sassower has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict. Please visit http://www.njcdlp.org/Change_of_Venue.html for scheduling updates. Thank you.

Greetings: As you may have gathered, my November 3, 2008 interview of Reverend Ron Branson was plagued by technical problems that prompted 2 or 3 periods of extended silence. In fact one gap lasts about 15 minutes. Arrangements are being made for these periods of silence to be edited out of the tape. The interview will then be re-broadcast. In the meantime, you can hear the fantastic interview in its entirety if you perservere past the extended periods of silence. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience, confusion, and frustration. Zena

[Please note that the Branson interview must be edited to eliminate extended periods of silence prompted by technical difficulties. A corrected version of the interview will be re-broadcasted in the near future.] Activist Ron Branson, an author of the Judicial Accountability Initiative Law (J.A.I.L.) and founder of the internationally renowned JAIL For Judges movement, will talk about the exciting, but ultimately failed effort in South Dakota to get J.A.I.L. on the general election ballot.
