When I started researching about eighteen years ago , I didnt know about all the drama and dysfunction in the Bigfoot community , It was about  seven years ago when I started getting a glimpse into it . 

 I have always been the type of person who does not judge people due to someone else's feelings of that person or group and because of this,  I have had and at times still have people in the BF community judging me for this .

 With that being said ,  there is one group and person in this field who I have tried not to pass  judgment on UP UNTIL NOW !

 The group is BFRO ( Bigfoot Field Researchers Org ) and the person is Matt Moneymaker .
I had my first experience with this group and some of their members about four years ago when I came upon them one evening in one of my sites here in FL .  Long story short , I was accused of trying to sabotage their outing ,  they tried to tell me I was trespassing and had to leave the property and  I was grilled and verbally treated badly by Caroline C . 

 I also had to tell them that the noises  that they were recording were the sounds of a lion and not of a Bigfoot / Skunkape .   I told them that a couple of eccentric elderly women that live next to this property have exotics and one of them is a lion .  They still recorded it and tried to convince me that it was Bigfoot  and they wanted me to attest to it .

 I let them know that I had no clue that they were here and I had a permit from swiftmud to be on this property and that if they had a permit they should know about the
NO ALCOHOL  policy ( several of the members were drinking and drunk while actively researching ) .   I also stated that they better keep Caroline C away from me or all hell is gonna break loose on them . 
I also stated that I was not going to lie about the noises for them or anyone

 After I explained that I took a size seventeen casting out of the area , I started being treated differently and was hounded to let them have my cast .  I was told over and over that MM wanted to meet me and to not leave , needless to say , he never came to talk to me,  I was lied to and was told that he was busy out in the field ( I saw him standing at the table with one other guy )  and my name and number was taken .

 Two days later I received several calls from MM over a three day span , I didnt take those calls due to the fact that he wanted info on the site and wanted to borrow my casting and make a copy of it . 

 Now, you can see just how good this group is that your paying major amounts of money to research with .  They had Bay News 9 come out and do a story on them , this is the same site and weekend that I was there and the above happened .   They led this poor reporter on a chase ( due to eye shine ) for about thirty mins  only to find out it was a raccoon  ( so much for their expensive equipment ) and knowledge .

 Now this,

 About two months ago , bfro had an expedition down here .  I was posting on the message board about the trip and was conversating with a couple of members through pms as well .   Everything was going fine until , I made a post about my researching experiences for that weekend and that I couldnt wait to hear what they came up with . 

 The next time I logged on to the message board , I found a pm from the mod stating that my post had been deleted due to me giving false info on where I THOUGHT bfro was and that my research and findings were bogus .

 I replied back ,  That I only stated where they were due to IT BEING POSTED ON THE MAIN PAGE AS TO WHERE THEY WERE .  I also stated that if my research and findings were so bogus , then why does some of your members want to research with me so badly , why do they want to know where my sites are and why do you guys want to copy the casting that I have . 

 The next time I logged on , I found where the pms that I had sent and the pms that were sent to me had all been deleted  ,  I also found where some of my other posts were gone as well .


 I sent a pm to the mod that said ,   Hmmm ,  well this is how you guys operate .   Well this is how I operate , you have ruined any chances of getting a copy of my cast ,  knowing any info on my research sites  and I have really good friends in swiftmud and other state agencies where you need their permission to access land,  land that I know you guys love to go to and would love to access and since I know a local tv news guy , I will be letting him know about yall as well .

 I am also informing them about the fact that  certain members of and in your group carry firearms and alcohol  where it is prohibited , that you charge people to come on these expeditions and then access their land ( which is a big no no from what I hear ).

 I received a reply stating this ,  I think I may have made a mistake and deleted the wrong account , if this has happened please understand and forgive me . I think there must have been some misunderstandings between us and I would like to apologize .

 I then replied back simply ,   Oh I understand !  and then I deleted my account  .

 I then had two calls come in from a California N# and two messages were left , both was from some guy saying he was MM and he urgently needed to speak with me and he gave me a N# and said to call him . 

 
  I was friendly with this group and some of its members BUT now I have experienced just a little of what others have gone thru ,  I am now one of the many, many, many people who will have nothing to do with them anymore . ..................

The story below , is just one of the many many things   that I have experienced through out the seventeen years that I have been researching /investigating .................

This takes place in a WMA here in Fl , at the time of this incident I had been researching this area for about six years . It was in March of 06 and the time was around 11:30 pm . I had come in to the site around 5 pm and had done my usual setting up of the chairs and getting my gear ready . This outing I had brought with me a hand full of people ( my boyfriend Charles , oldest son Timothy, his girlfriend Amy, their friend Rick and a long time friend of ours Kenny who WAS a skeptic ) now I had been training Timothy and Rick on how to do research & investigation so when I was no longer able to do this anymore they could .

We were all geared up and we set out on doing a perimeter check , I do this for numerous reasons , One - to check on old activity & new activity ( human & other related ) , Two - to make sure I or we are the only humans in the area , Three - while I go along I will do my tree knocks & vocalizations to encourage them to come closer . We had returned back to base camp (so to speak ) and sat and waited for any activity .

Throughout the evening & night we had heard some tree knocks and vocalizations and knew we were being watched . We had been listening to something bipedal to the left of us walking back and forth just inside the wood line , also on our right a little further back in the woods was another bipedal something that had been moving around . At that outing I had brought a tape recorder and set it up in viewing range down the pathway from where we were sitting , I had asked Amy if she would go get it so we could see if it had picked up any of the noises . Amy took off to get it and on her way back we told her to stop , on our right between her and us, in the tree line came a lot of movement and before we knew it this deer came hauling out of woods . The deer ran across the path and was heading to the tree line on our left , just as it started to jump into the brush it did a u turn and came hauling right at us . As the deer was approaching , I found myself telling it " your all right " over & over . The deer ran straight up to all of us and stopped dead in its tracks , we were all talking , laughing and watching this deer just standing there . When we composed ourselves we noticed that the deer was breathing very heavily and was more concerned with what was going on in the tree lines behind and in front of him where he had just came out of . After about two to three mins the deer took a sigh , stomped its hoof , let out a huff and then slowly walked beside us and by the trucks and toward the treeline . We all followed this deer and stopped halfway between the trucks and the woods . As we were talking about what had just happened we heard a commotion in the area that the deer had gone , It sounded like leaves rustling and what I call the sound of something having its life taken out of it . I stood there and said that didnt sound good and all of a sudden this blood curdling God awful scream came from the area that we were looking at , right after the scream we heard two very loud tree knocks behind us where we had heard the other bipedal thing . Needless to say I found myself standing there alone talking to myself , after the scream everyone had booked it back to the trucks and packed it up and was waiting on me to go ( guess they felt a little uneasy huh lol) . We sat there for a good 30 mins afterwards but nothing happened so we left .

I have asked all kinds of people ( hunters,hikers,campers,game officers, etc) that have been more then avid outdoors men and no one has had a deer just come up to them in the wild especially in a WMA , so you tell me why that deer felt like we were safer then WHAT was in those woods and WHAT made that scream ?

I know what wildcats sound like ( grew up with bobcats and a FL panther in the woods behind my house and an ex carney that lived two streets away had two lions AND from the late 70s I had a large cat rescue facility move in at the other end of the woods from my house . I also know what foxes,coyotes, bear and screaming bellowing scrub cows and other cattle sound like . This scream was nothing like anything I have heard .

Now I am not saying that a deer wouldnt approach a human in a WMA but I have yet to hear of it ,  If you have I would love to know about it .

My story goes like this ............ Let me start out by describing the area , This took place in what WAS a small town just north of Tampa, Fl ( Citrus Park ) . It was primarily made up of woods, swamps, cattle ranches, dairy farms and orange groves . My grandmother had a half acre of land that backed up to a very large stretch of woods .
My encounters started when I was about nine years of age , my bedroom was in the back of the home and we had no air conditioning so windows had to be open during the summer . Anywhere from eleven pm on , this " being " would come to my back window and stare in at me . There were even a few times that it would try to fit its head in between the window panes . I would scream for my g-ma and by the time she would get back there the " being" would be gone . This went on until I was about twelve and I got my wish to move into the bedroom up in the front . The encounters never happened to me in the front bedroom due to a shed that was blocking the window .
The next thing to happen was when I was sixteen , My sister had moved a trailer in behind my g-mas home a few years earlier and her and her husband were off for the night . My g-ma was home alone and it was around eleven pm when she noticed that my sisters two dogs were going nuts . She grabbed her gun and a flash light and took off behind my sisters place . When she came around the corner she saw the dogs running for the fence barking and then running back for the trailer and whining . Just as she took a step toward the fence she raised the flashlight up and spotted something huge and dark standing amongst the tree line . She then took another step toward the fence and caught a whiff of something that took her breath away . When this happened she fired a shot into the ground and this thing took off into the woods ....
Thats pretty much the story .

I have more things that happened around the area but they are pretty much second hand stories .
There were alot of sightings in the Citrus Park area but no one really reported them due to the fact that they didnt want to be criticized and the "old timers " didnt want people nosing around their property ....

The Thomas Ranch and the Geracies(not sure of sp) who had several cattle properties around Sheldon Rd and Gunn Hwy had issues with a
"THING" that was killing their cattle .
What was so puzzling to the ranchers was that they couldnt link the killings to any known predators . The local dairy farmers had issues too .

My G-mother who had a couple of friends in the Sheriffs dept & Hwy Patrol tell her of different stories and calls they would get and have to go investigate and how they were just dumb founded at what they saw or heard .
The Hwy Patrol officer ( SGT Harry Mofield ) had a few calls that were strange .

The one that was strange to me was the one about the orange grower who had someone that would eat anywhere between 15 to 20 some oranges in a night and who ever it was had HUGE feet . The Sgt went to investigate it and saw what was left of the oranges , saw the tracks which led to a bay head that turned into a massive swamp area . Well he told the grower he wasnt about to go tromping through the swamp for a very large orange thief . The grower told him of the strange noises that would come from the swamp and Sgt Harry told him that that made it even more in his decision of not going in there .......
