Titanium Women  

I'm Brooke. I'm 19 years old, and live in beautiful Laguna Beach California. Other than Laguna, Portland Oregon is a city that I adore. In April of 2007, I was involved in a car accident that resulted in the loss of my left leg. In dealing with all of this, I was really shocked to find that there were virtually no other young people going through the same thing that I could reach out to. I didn't know how, and no one in the medical community seemed to know how either. My Doctors referred me to support groups, sent a lady over to talk with me, etc, etc. They were all very sweet people, but also all nearly 1,000 years old! I mean come on, I had like nothing in common with those people. I'm young and active, and plan on doing everything I did before. Yeah, I'm also stubborn :) So, I heard of BlogTalkRadio, and I had an idea. What a perfect forum for us young women that have gone through the loss of a limb to help each other, be there for each other, and just hang out and talk about whatever's on our minds. This group is intended for women under 30 only please. And if you're not an amputee and some weird stalker, go away, as I will certainly report you to those that run this site.
