I admire your not completely secularizing the novel!
I loved the book first of all! I love the scene towards the beginning of the book when Sarah and Nate have had this awful day involving Jordan, and Sarah begins to cook a meal, and decides to observe the Sabbath. Nate is surprised since they hadn't observed since his dad passed away, but he obviously takes great comfort in the ritual. Were you raised in a Jewish household? Was your family observant? I thought this was a wonderful touch--so many authors today seem afraid to not completely sec
