Talking about the ecological problems of Haiti, with an focus on reforestation.

The BlueGreen Network is pleased to produce the second edition of EcoAlert with Nadine Patrice, the executive director of Operation Green Leaves in Miami. Operation Green Leaves (OGL) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that has been the champion of reforesting Haiti for more than 17 years.

Nadine's guest will be Audrey Peterman, who will talk about her website - PickUpAndGo.net - and her message for all people, but particularly African-Americans, to visit the National Parks and become more aware of their importance.

The BlueGreen Network will host a BlueGreen Networking event at the Out of the Blue Cafe - 2426 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008. The event will feature underwater developer Gary Levine who will discuss his concept for the world's first artificial reef that will spell out a message.

Nadine Patrice, executive director of Operation Green Leaves in Miami, FL, is the host of EcoAlert, a new show on the BlueGreen Network, Saturday at 10 AM on Blogtalkradio.com.

As the executive director of Operation Green Leaves - www.oglhaiti.com - Nadine is a leading advocate of reforesting Haiti. This show will focus on her work over the past 15 years, and, of course, the work that lies ahead.

The BlueGreen Network is an alliance of 'like-minded' content producers who agree to promote a 'bluegreen' theme.

2008 is the International Year of the Reef. As part of the year-long initiative to call attention to the demise of the deep, Fort Lauderdale, Florida will be the location for the Coral Reef Symposium. A link to the symposium can be found on Miami Beach Diving.

Green is the color of the day. Green has been a popular color since it was selected as the color of the United States paper currency. Green is the color that represents the environment.

Blue is the color of the ocean, as it reflects the color of the sky.

Together, they are 'bluegreen,' a color of balance between the ocean and the land.

On Saturday, 24 May 2008, Operation Green Leaves will be the focus of a new series environmentally-oriented shows on the BlueGreen Network on BlogTalkRadio.

Executive Director of OGL Haiti, Nadine Patrice, will be on hand to talk about the past 15 years of the organization, as well as then next 15 years.

Nadine announced an ambitious goal  early this year to open an educational facility in Arcahaie, Haiti to teach the importance of reforestation to the children and to distribute seedlings to plant to the adults.
