HAST THOU NO SCAR?

Hast thou no scar?
No hidden scar on foot, or side, or hand?
I hear thee sung as mighty in the land,
I hear them hail thy bright ascendant star,
Hast thou no scar?

Hast thou no wound?
Yet, I was wounded by the archers, spent.
Leaned me against the tree to die, and rent
By ravening beasts that compassed me, I swooned:
Hast thou no wound?

No wound? No scar?
Yet, as the Master shall the servant be,
And pierced are the feet that follow Me;
But thine are whole. Can he have followed far
Who has no wound nor scar?

Let the Lord be exalted for this ongoing victory. So if we boast as Paul says in the Bible- let us boast only in Him and Him crucified and glorified forever! This poem was meant by Amy to exalt the Lord and dethrone spiritual pride and self- or- those given to self-exaltation. Let us always Give God the Glory and He alone for His steadfast love for us who obey Him! For we are not exalted with Him unless we partake first of His sufferings and cross- which is daily death to self and ego! It is these scars that are our real credentials- from the cross life- telling the true from the false witnesses of Christ and His gospel- the wheat from the tares of these endtimes!
