    Kunle Oguneye - Sikulu and Harambe

    Kunle Oguneye was born and raised in Nigeria. He has lived in the United States for the last thirteen year. He gave up a career in technology in order to pursue his love for children's story-telling. There is a serious lack of African culture and history in the marketplace. The result is his new, swiftly selling (both in the U.S. and abroad), vividly illustrated, children's African folktale, Sikulu and Harambe by the Zambezi River. This children's book is the first in a series of adventures that follow Sikulu the spider and Harambe the hippo as they travel throughout Africa. Based on an African folktale, the story reinforces the values of kindness and compassion and is an African translation of the Good Samaritan story. The title also offers a glossary of terms and weaves facts about Zambian culture and geography into the story. Children and adults alike come away learning about Zambia as they engage with the lovable characters.
