The Fortune Stage is just a blog. Some ordinary satire, photos and whatever. It's my second "big" blog. the earlier incarnation of this show was to be about A Fake Pundit named Colbert.... & Other matters. I have changed the format to reflect a broader view of "Yes, and"

The writers strike has ended and a tense, but happy time is here. The Oscars have come and gone, as has Eric Drysdale from The Colbert Report. Eric is supremely talented, and all the best to him - he's one of those people who just deserved their every success. Coming up on the next show, I will be taking a little detour into the land of ASL (American Sign Language) and the Arts with a exceedingly talented signer called Stormfx WARNING! THIS VIDEO IS NOT WORKSAFE OR FOR CHILDREN UNDER 18Sign language: the [new] "New S#*t"

go visit the message boards both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. I wager all postings regarding the WGA strike all support the AMPTP's position, especially now that both shows are returning. What think you about the shows coming back to air, and more importantly, the stifling of free excahgne on the boards? Join me for a 2 hour live call-in Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 10 pm, Eastern, 7 pm Pacific.

15:13:02 11/21/2007 I am the host of "Colbertcon" a Stephen Colbert and all things Colbert related podocast over at podomatic. The first show here will WGA strike related. On the 5th of November, the Writers Guild of America struck after the AMPTP, the bargaining arm of the Corporations double crossed the WGA negotiators and walked out. At stake? Residual income from their creative works streamed and downloaded from the internet and from DVD sales. As I walked past Virgin Records in Times Square, I noticed that the HD boxed set of Season 1 of the Original Star Trek was available for $199.98. out of that, the writers will EACH see $0.04 of each box set sold... as for the writers of CSI, 24, Numbers, The Office, they see ZERO for the downloads and streaming. The first interview will address what we, the fans can do to support the writers. Tune in. Thanks, Veritasistas
