If Black History Month is to have any real and meaningful resonance in the minds and hearts of Black youth in this country, then it must be a truly authentic, Black recounting and honoring of our story in North America. We must people our story with men and women and events that we choose for ourselves, not the ones chosen for us by others. The panel will discuss the "most powerful Black man in America" who is never even alluded to during this month. The man who made it alright and a point of pride to be unabashedly Black and to live that Blackness out loud-- The Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
