We know that many of us find it hard to believe (after being awakened out of the stupor of mental slavery by the teachings and lifestyle of Messenger Elijah Muhammad) that here at the end of 2017 any conscious Black person in America would have even the idea of a Christmas celebration anywhere near them. But unfortunately many of us do. To the detriment of our children, it appears that even the most seemingly Black of the expounders of Black consciousness are lulled back into a dead state by the mental soporific that is Christmas. And the mental contortions used to justify this annual lapse are often painful to listen to. The plain truth is that many of those among us who aspire to and/or claim leadership because of the clarity of their insight, the depth of their understanding, and the power of their love of and for Black find it inconvenient to be Black around Christmas.
The panel will be discussing these and other issues that pertain to the real cost of Christmas for Black people in America.
