A co-op solution WITHOUT the government intervening. The Salvation Army,NAACP or any non-profit should be able to gather the working poor and self employed into a group and use the group to purchase insurance. We can do this ourselves WITHOUT government.

It is Unconstitutional!, the U.S. Constitution gives limited enumerated (Specific)powers, healthcare is not one of them. You want a national Healthcare program, Amend the Constitution, until then follow the law. Congress does not have legal authority to do this. P.S. don't say General welfare Clause, James Madison, who wrote the Constitution, specifically states in the federalist papers, that the general welfare clause only applies to their enumerated powers from Art. 1 sec 8.

Listeners with a level head, recognize there are no easy answers or solutions to health care reform. They also realize that doing 'nothing' is not an option. The Republican aim is to protect the insurance companies and let the public fend for themselves. The 'death camp' notion is ridiculous GOP propaganda to scare senior citizens. It's time for President Obama to stop pandering to the party of "No" and work with the Democratic majority to pass a bill that includes the public option.
