Today's interview is with the author of "The Ressurrection of Nat Turner" parts 1 The Witnesses & 2 The Testimony; Sharon Ewell Foster.
Her two-volume work tells a story of Nat Turner from the cradle to the grave and the uprising he organized.
Make no mistake about it, these volumes by Foster are a drastic departure from the broad licensing work (by writers such as William Styron) that basically marginalizes Turner in order to posthumously make him out to be anything other than he actually was, a captive planning and implementing an escape and punishment of his captors.
Sharon Ewell Foster is the author of several other books (including one series of novels with a central character known as "Ma Dear" whom is an actual woman, lol), let her know how you feel about her works by responding on the comment section near the bottom of this page.
