Hurricane Irene is heading to the East Coast. This special edition of Creativity Matters Now focuses on pets, specifically cats, who are dependent on their owners for surviving natural disasters.

This show features two guests.

My guest, Wendy Decker, is the co-founder of Cat Haven, Inc., in Baton Rouge, Lousiana. She knows first-hand the impact Hurricanes Katrina and Gustav had on cats and dogs. Wendy will discuss how to create an emergency plan with a "go bag" for your cat. If you lose your cat, don't lose your cool, Wendy will give clear steps to help you find your furry friend.

My guest, Carole Wilbourn, is an international expert on cat behavior. Dubbed by the media as the "Feline Freud" and "founding mother of feline psychotherapy," Carole will discuss how to help your cat stay calm and safe during the storm. If your cat is lost or traumatized, Carole will offer strategies to help you reintegrate your cat into the family home.

This will be a valuable hour of advice!
