The Watering Down of College Bowl Games

There was a time when the college football season was decided on New Year's Day. Those days are long gone. College bowl season starts in the middle of December and with a new playoff on the horizon in college football, the bowl season will extend to mid January. Every year more bowl games are added to a slate that is taking away from the value and relevance of bowl games. Why is the NCAA rewarding medicority? How much is too much?
