Allah's Rahim Salaam The Revelations of John prophecies that THEY REPENTED NOT of their evil deeds and blasphemed the very Name of God (Revelations 16:9). THEREFORE, when a man is guilty of a very great evil done against the cause of God and His people, he cannot be forgiven unless he seeks forgiveness himself. We see this in the working of the fall of America today. I say fall, for most surely this is the Divine fall of America: as it was of ancient Babylon for their evils done to the Jews.

    Hi,
I am very excited about tomorrow's show topic: Am I my Sister Keeper? It is a show that is dear to my heart and probably has been in many conversations about why are women not being more supportive of one another? So why are we not, what is the underlying issue? THE SPEECH(Barack Speech 2009 @NACCP)

    Hello All
Have you listen lately to the latest BARACK OBAMA Speech at the NAACP 100th Anniversary on July 16, 2009. Since the inauguration of President Barack Obama, many of us have had in conversations that since becoming president things can be possible. The obama's shows us a swagger that is unprecedented. They show us that beauty is so skin deep and that it comes from within. His speech on July 16, 2009 was very inspiring for all of us to realize that we can do it and we must do it for ourselves but also for our legacies who are our children. They are our future so what are we doing to make a difference in there lives? Have you been a positive influence to a youth today? Have you been leading by example? Have you past something forward in your community? What seeds are you planting? Can you answer these questions? I urge you to think about this and see how you can make a difference today in your community.

After hearing President Obama Speech some oppose this speech and say that it is not appropriate and that we need more encouragement. Some conveyed that he should have said it those who are not doing right in the community not to those who are middle and upper class individuals. Well, I say KUDOS to him because we need to hear the truth about the direction that we are going as a community. I say even more KUDOS that the middle and upper class needs to hear this because they often forget about where they come from so they need a dose of reality to see that there are others they need to pick up along the way to climb that ladder of success. Sometimes the truth hurts and that is why we are so reluctant and offer excuses as to why it is not possible. President Barack Obama speech give us the notion that we have to reach for the higest of the highest. We have to realize that it is not only about music and sports but rather we have more to offer the world as individuals. We should not be limiting our children to think of becoming the next KOBE BYRANT, LEBRON JAMES, LIL WAYNE, DRAKE , Jay Z,etc. We should be encouraging our children to become LAWYERS, JUDGES, ASTRONAUTS, SCIENTISTS, PRESIDENTS, SENATORS,etc. Please don't get it twisted, if your children has a talent in sports or music continue to encourage them. What I am saying is let's not forget about getting a education so they can understand how to read a contract, music notes, and anything else associated with getting and keeping their money? I beleive we should be looking at what interests our children most in there acadamic areas and moving forward as we do sports and anything else with such enthusiam.

Some of our media have depicted an image that it is all about music and sports. They have somehow conform our children and society that if we are going to get out of the hood , then that is the way to go. We have become so facid with images of the television circuit portraying many subliminal messages in there commericals of sports and music that we start to beleive that is the only way to go. How many times have you seen highschool or collegiate players opt to come out early so that they can get that big salary to provide for there families, but necessarily not opt to finish college and have that degree to fall back on. Who is at fault? Is it the parent, coaches, agents, who? Take a look at our televsion outlets such as BET where are they going with our future representation of us. On BET we see the images or lack of shows that are not influential. Instead we see a focus of music that take away from who we are, we see videos that exploit women, and teach our children that it is okay to behave in a such a manner.

In our community we should be more of a role model for all children. We need mentors to mentor the mentorees. We need every day people to step up and be proactive. We should be walking with our pants up, hats to front and with our heads high. Ladies we should be showing our young ladies that you can wear a professional suit and still look sexy. We don't need to show bare skin to define who we are. We should be showing our future generation it is okay to go school and it is cool to read books. Reading is very essential to becoming successful. So why is it not a jump off that way that our music is.
I will end this by saying be more proactive in our communities. Plant positive seeds, encourage and bring others up the success ladders with you.Remember all things are possible and everyone can make a difference.

    Yours Truly
    24hrmom

Mess Hall Dialogue Show on 24hrmom online show

    Good Afternoon,

Yesterday I had the pleasure of having a great open dialogue with many of the BTR Family and as well as others in the community. I thank those who participated in the conversation as well as call in to voice there opinions. For those who might not have had the privilege to know what occurred on the show, let me give you recap of the show. It was HOT TOPICS Thursday on the 24hrmom online radio show. It was about the topics that are on our minds lately. As said before it was a great opportunity to have an open dialogue about the topics that sometimes we don't get to talk about often with one another. Some of the topics were but not limited to was the incident of the Racism in the pool (the incident that occurred at the country club in Pennsylvania), Judge Sonia Sotomayor confirmation hearings, the continuous saga of Michael Jackson, the debate of how old is too old to have a baby, DNA Testing (making sure you get one you are in doubt or might land in jailed).

There were so many topics that we tackled but the one that got everyone really talking was the incident at the Huntington Valley Country Club and the day campers of Creative Steps Day Camp program. Racism in the Pool!!! If many of you don't know what occurred, let me give you a brief recap of what occurred. On June 25, 2009 the campers from the Creative Steps Day camp summer program was schedule to attend the Country club pool facility and when they got there they were fad with whispering members of the country club saying," Why are all these black kids here, some even told there children to get out of the pool because they were afraid they were going to hit them or steal from them. The nut shell of the story is that the president of the club later refunded there money for assigned contract of using the pool facility for the summer and made a statement saying,"There was a concern that a lot of kids would Change the COMPLEXION and the ATMOSPHERE of the club", John Duesler, President of the Huntington Valley Club".He later retracted the statement w/o using the words of complexion and atmosphere.

To begin I thought that this incident was very sad that we as a country of many ethnic background is still facing such ignorance in 2009. We fought so many avenues to get to the point where people see us as people not by the content of our skin so why are still here. I was very saddened by this and especially for those children because those children did not ask for such acts from people who were totally ignorant and totally oblivious of what is going on. What concerns me is that as Black Americans we are being judge by the few bad apples? Those kids were being judge by the acts of others that has been interpreted that all blacks kids or adults will steal, fight everyone they see. How do we correct that? It starts at home, we have to start modeling for all kids the right way of doing things regardless if we are black, white, Chinese, and Hispanic. It is not about the color of our skin it is about the person and what we can offer. As Black Americans we have to set high standards for ourselves as well. We have to show others that we are not those few bad apples, we are smarter and better than that.We need to go school and not let our surroundings be the fall of us.I believe that we can all make it. We have to teach our children our history, where we came from and how we got here. We have to instilled pride in them. We have to lead by example. As people we have not get caught in how the media thinks we should look but to look the way god blesses us. We have stand up and be proud.

For instance look at the Judge Sonia Sotomayor hearings, some of the senate is concern with the,"Wise Latina comment that she said in other venues of discussion is it really about that. Here it is a lady who has built her self up despite the struggle of her early childhood and is now on the verge of becoming the first Hispanic Judge. We need to have diversity on the court circuit. But are they focusing on here record of accomplishments, no they are focus on her comment which some believe that she will not impartial. Although for the most part she will be confirm, what the grip about her is really. Is it about really comment or she is not qualified? The inauguration of a diverse president is start of change of people recognizing that we are smart and able to do it. Having Judge Sotomayor had a judge in the highest circuit says we can do it.
