Padron, 6'3, 232 pounds, played one season with the Eastern Washington after transferring from Southern Methodist. Padron had a strong start to his career at SMU, but he left the school after he was benched following a poor showing in the season opener in his junior season in 2011. Padron found his stride again at Eastern Washington, completing 175-of-296 passes for 2,491 yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Helping Eastern Washington to finished 11-3 overall but lost to Sam Houston State, 45-42, in the semifinals of the FCS playoffs.
