Hi this is your Host, Michael Hallé and I have many years of experience in tourism development, and more than decade with a focus on sustainable tourism in such destinations such as Mexico and La Romana D.R. I decided to become a student of Social Cultural Anthropology, and Archaeology at University of Toronto, to acquire the vocabulary necessary to advance my understanding, appreciation and work with the Indigenous People and their communities. My goal is to apply my knowledge and skills from years of mass market tourism development and distribution technology methods, to the development of sustainable destination programming. My research has taught me that indigenous culture, heritage, and biodiversity are the corner stones and foundational steps of micro-driven global sustainability. We can't solve global problems as individuals, but we can certainly appreciate and support local economies through travel. The travel market is presently undergoing a huge paradigm shift as it struggles to move away from the mass market model. My objective now is to create a public discourse regarding the subject of sustainability through targeted media channels including the Internet. The aim of the show is to begin a process of sensitizing the traveling public to the issues of human impact on the ecosystem, biodiversity and host cultures through the process of travel. The content aims to be educational, informative and most of all, respectfully presented to the segment of the traveling public who are now seeking much more from a vacation experience as they do their lives, with an emphasis on understanding the heritage, history, gastronomy, biodiversity of host cultures. Exciting, intelligent and fun! Join me on 123GoTravel Michael
