Laurence Bennett’s recent film THE ARTIST has garnered him Oscar, BAFTA, César, and ADG nominations for production design, among others. The black and white silent film, set in 1927-31 Hollywood, received 10 nominations from both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and BAFTA. His other feature production design credits include IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH, FREEDOM WRITERS, TRAITOR, THE NEXT THREE DAYS, and Academy Award Best Picture CRASH/ Bennett has designed numerous television pilots and series, including GREY’S ANATOMY, ONCE AND AGAIN, MR. STERLING, MIRACLES, EZ STREETS, and THIEF. In Dublin he had a design practice, worked in fringe theatre, exhibited his paintings, and taught at the National College of Art and Design.
