Mr. Killian enrolled in the University of Southern California's Film Scoring program, receiving his Master of Music degree in composition. Shortly thereafter he was recruited by legendary film composer Christopher Young and worked on such films as Species, Copycat, Virtuosity and Hard Rain. Mr Killian has written music for King Solomon's Mines, Icon, Horizon, The Animatrix and Raise Your Voice. He has worked as orchestrator, arranger and conductor on The Matrix Reloaded film. His special affinity for percussive music led fellow composer Christope Beck to hire him to record and produce the electronically manipulated percussion element of the score for Elektra. He 2004 he went on to score Tsotsi for writer/director Gavin Hood along with South Africa composer Paul Hepker. The film won the 2005 Academy Award for best foreign film. Mark and Paul went to score Gavin's next film Rendition with Don Cheadle. Mr. Kilian has also scored many high profile TV commercials for companies such as apple, Toyota, Budweiser, Microsoft, MasterCard and United Airlines. His TV credits include Daybreak, Jake In Progress, Kitchen Confidential, Body of Proof and Castle, as well as video games The Matrix: Path Of Neo and Full Spectrum Warrior. Recently he has scored for Traitor, LaMission, The Least Among You and John Carpenter's The Ward and the upcoming Bless Me Ultima. Mr. Kilian wrote and recorded for Glen Hughes, and released two albums as electronic outfit Ape Quartet with Christopher Beck, and released two solo albums under the name The Gravy Street.
