Marci Liroff’s extensive credits as a casting director span more than 50 films. While working at renowned Fenton-Feinberg Casting, she – along with Mike Fenton – cast such films as A Christmas Story, Porky’s, Poltergeist, ET, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, andBlade Runner. After establishing Marci Liroff Casting in 1983, Marci cast Footloose, St. Elmo’s Fire, Pretty in Pink, The Iron Giant, The Spitfire Grill, Untamed Heart, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, and most recently Mr. Popper's Penguins starringJim Carrey. Later this year, Marci will be making her foray into television by casting The Paul Reiser Show for NBC. In 2008, Marci realized the old business model of casting directors being inaccessible to the acting community just doesn’t work any longer. She started coaching actors to prepare them for their upcoming auditions and created a three-night intensive class, “Audition Bootcamp.” From that evolved the DVD series Marci Liroff’s Audition Bootcamp. Whether it’s an indie film or blockbuster movie, Marci makes a good film great and a great film a classic.
