Mike Harrop is an independent New York-based producer and post production supervisor. He recently guided the critically acclaimed films "Blue Valentine," "Restrepo," and "Solitary Man" through post production, and continues to look for interesting people and projects to collaborate with in the ever-changing world of post production. Recently, Mike produced Edward Burns' "Nice Guy Johnny" with long-time collaborators and fellow producers Burns, Aaron Lubin, and William Rexer II. In embracing the limitations of working with a five person crew, the team enjoyed a renewed artistic freedom and developed a DIY distribution approach that has garnered industry attention for its remarkable success. Currently, Mike is producing Burns' latest film, "Newlyweds in New York," helping shepherd Mark Mann's "Generation Umm" through post production, and developing new material with a number of filmmakers.
