Riggs is the youngest of three children of the late John Morris Riggs, Sr. and Pearline Kennedy-Riggs was born and raised on the eastside of Detroit (where she still resides with her mother and son Michael-Paul age 21 who is the joy of her life). Donna was educated in the Detroit Public School system graduating from Martin Luther King High School in the 1980's Donna is a professional model and has been for more than 20 years promoting various designers and beauty products. She is also a member of the Red Hat Society where she is the “Princess” of the chapter, the Golden Sapphires which is located in Detroit. In October 2008, she became a Notary Public for the State of Michigan where she serves in that capacity today. In 2002, Donna was introduced to Doris Harris-Washington, CEO of America’s Divas International Entertainment by her God-Mother, Burnett Neal at her church on Palm Sunday where she was hired to be the church musician. Doris noticed that Donna had a special gift of being a mistress of ceremony at a church function that day and asked her to be Mistress of Ceremony at a program that she was putting together and taping for television . . . and the rest is history.
