"Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am Proud to have served in the United States military. I love the United States and am worried that we will not continue to be blessed. I am a retired Policeman. I love stamps, and antique shows. I believe that a person can never have too many cats. I know that you can never underestimate the power of the written word. I love poetry. I have died twice.I know the power of love, healing, forgiveness, and most importantly the Power of THE LORD. I have recently retired and would love to spend time getting to know as many people as I can. I am writing a book and would to hear from anyone who has a near death experience. God Bless you all.

He is just a guy...or so he says.He is not a great singer who the 28.3 million that watch Idol may want to cheer. He doesn't have millions of dollars.Nor was he Rambo killing everything that moves....Oh Rambo -Movies like that give the military not only a bad name but a Crazed one.John Mueller at the LA Times Made a chart of the body count in each of Sly Stallone's Rambo. It's very inclusive. Mueller explains: "The body count includes only people who visibly fall inert after being bombed; garroted; blasted; stabbed; strangled; blown up by mines, artillery, grenades, or other explosives; shot by bullets, artillery, or arrows; incinerated by fires or flame throwers; bludgeoned; stomped or beaten; disemboweled or beheaded; or pushed or tossed off precipices or out of aircraft. It also includes people who had their necks snapped." 236 is the total kill count number of this film … the good guys only had a +10 k/d ratio (Halo Reference) and Rambo accounted for just at 35% of the total kills in the film. There are over 2.5 kills per minute In this film.War isn't like that.... The Korean War was from 1950-1953.Gerald Callahan wasn't happy to go but he was told he needed to Defend South Korea from the spread of communism. There were many young men hurt and at the War's end Casualties were at 36,574......yes 36,574.The War changed Gerald Callaham shaped him if you will. He did what he had to do...did it so well in fact that he received a The Silver Star which is awarded for gallantry in combat. He got the Purple Heart which is awarded in the name of the President of the United States to any member of the Armed Forces of the United States who, while serving under competent authority in any capacity with one of the U.S. Armed Services after 5 April 1917, has been wounded or killed, or who has died after being wounded.Like the many who lay themselves on the line he doesn't see what he did as much....just in the line of duty. That's what makes a hero.
